Live-course Preparing for breastfeeding & postpartum period – so it can get off to a good start! With patience and the right technique, many breastfeeding challenges can be prevented. Expect tipps and recommendations on how to master the postpartum period and the first time with your baby in a relaxed manner, regardless of whether it is a natural birth or a (planned) cesarean section. Special topics include: • First latch after birth • The importance of a good latch & different nursing positions • Baby’s sucking behavior & understanding baby’s hunger cues • Milk production & understanding hormones the golden hour & benefits of colostrum • Nutrition during breastfeeding & postpartum period • Helpful tips & preparations for the postpartum period & after C-Section • Postpartum Care for mom’s body & mind • The importance of skin-to-skin contact & bonding • What to do with breast swelling, engorgement, blocked ducts or sore nipples • Risks & effects of pacifiers or bottles • WHO & official recommendations Whether you are preparing for your first baby or already have previous breastfeeding experience, this course is suitable for all expectant mothers who wish to breastfeed and create the best possible conditions for a harmonious breastfeeding journey. You are welcome to attend on your own or together with your partner, who can provide support during the postpartum period.
